Manufacturing Notes
This standard is packaged in flame sealed ampules each containing 20 ± 0.2 grams of soil. Using a smaller sample size than 20 grams may invalidate the assigned value and/or uncertainty shown above. Although this soil standard has been thoroughly blended prior to shipping it is necessary to homogenize this sample prior to opening. Carefully snap the top off the ampule in a fume hood to avoid inhalation of dust. Transfer the entire contents of the ampule to the extraction vessel. Use a weight of 20 grams for calculation purposes. Prepare and analyze the soil standard according to your normal analytical procedures.
Additional Information
Preparation Instructions
This sample is ready to use.
Minimum sample size to maintain homogeniety is 20 gram.
Description
A total sample size of 20g is provided.
The sample has been heat sterilized.
Storage
The sample should be stored in a dark dry location.lt has been determined to be stable for the duration of the expiration date.
After sub-sampling replace cap securely and store remaining sample at 4°C(Room temperature).
